Pole fitness

About a month ago I bought a stripper pole from eBay, and I really love it. I am really noticing that I am working muscles that I have never worked before and I can tell a difference in my upper body strength.

The pole I bought was $159.00. I wanted to get a professional quality pole, because some of the ones you can buy from retailers like Spencer's Gifts are cheaply made and fall down a lot. I did some research and read reviews for my pole and everyone loved it.

At first when I was thinking about getting a pole, I thought "Well those tricks looks like they would be easy to do!" Boy was I wrong!!!  It is a lot of hard work  doing any type of trick on a pole!! Right now my back, arms and wrists are pretty sore from doing some strength exercices on it yesterday.

Pole fitness is such a good workout and I encourage everyone who is thinking about trying to, to buy a pole or take a class. Most cities now offer classes for pole fitness. I just figured that it would be cheaper in the long run to just buy my own pole. Plus, me having a pole in my own house  gives me the opportunity to work on it even when I'm not in a class or something.

On the other hand, in classes, they teach you all the moves and transitions at a steady pace and can show you what you are doing wrong. I and using youtube and some other websites for help learning different tricks.

I will tell you that it is really fun and a lot of hard work, but you really work all the muscle groups when using a pole for fitness purposes.

I haven't really mastered just sitting on the pole yet. It really hurts your thighs to hold your whole body weight up on the pole and I  am too much in pain to try again.....right now! haha

I got some mighty grip gloves to use on my pole too!

Anyone else try pole fitness?? comment below
